You should hold onto your dreams; if you work hard enough for them, they will come true. This picture most definitely expresses the statement. It came from drmartinlutherkingjr.com, an entire website devoted to his dream. I cannot think of a better depiction of dreams than the one Martin Luther King Jr. had and his speech with the resounding words of "I have a dream" delivered at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963. He dreamed of equality for all people, and eventually it sort of happened. The equality of men may not be perfect like it should be, however it has improved a great deal.
This statement is used throughout the entire play. Beneatha's hopes of becoming a doctor. Walter's dreams of providing a better life for his family. The characters strive for what they want out of life and hold on to their dreams with everything they have.
