Still Responsible?

Once children are grown, their parents are no longer responsible for them. Cutting-edge statement, huh? I chose this picture from newbiemommy.com to relate to this statement because it shows a young child in adult clothes, and in some way it's a metaphor to a grown adult that is still a child that could need parent's guidance every now and then. Do I agree with the statement? Depends.
In act II & III of the play, Walter was given moneys from his mother, to help him get on his feet, and in the end, it was just a major disappointment and burden to the whole family. In Lena's case, I do not think she should not have had to support Walter and his actions because they were detremental to the entire family.
